The Brambosteler Moor is a 105 hectare nature reserve in the Lüneburg Heath Nature Park in Lower Saxony .
description
The nature reserve with the sign NSG LÜ 166 is about 153 hectares. The eponymous village of Brambostel, part of the municipality of Wriedel in the Uelzen district, is 2 km to the north. To the east of the Brambosteler Moor nature reserve, immediately adjacent, is the Kiehnmoor nature reserve . Here is the headwaters of the Gerdau , the left or western headwaters of the Ilmenau .
history
With an ordinance of June 23, 1988, the Brambosteler Moor was declared a nature reserve. The area was around 105 hectares. 82.5 hectares were in the Uelzen district and 22.5 hectares in the Heidekreis district. In 2018, the nature conservation ordinance was revised and the area was enlarged to around 153 hectares. The districts of Heidekreis and Uelzen are responsible as lower nature conservation authorities.
