The Ottinger Ochsenmoor is a nature reserve in the Lower Saxony town of Visselhövede in the Rotenburg (Wümme) district and the town of Walsrode in the Heidekreis district .

The nature reserve with the sign NSG LU 253 is 275  hectares . Of this, 172.2 hectares are in the Rotenburg (Wümme) district and 102.8 hectares in the Heidekreis district. The area has been under nature protection since May 16, 2003. The responsible lower nature conservation authorities are the districts of Rotenburg (Wümme) and Heidekreis.

The nature reserve is located south of Visselhövede. It is a raised bog area with different levels of drainage and various peat fields , some of which are regenerated over large areas through rewetting . Most of the protected area is characterized by quarry and bog forest, there are also forest areas on the edges of which there are sometimes wild fields . Cotton grass , peat moss and swinging lawn can be found in the peat cuttings .

The area is drained to the west and a. via Lehrde and Fahlbeeke and east to Warnau .
