The Vossberge are a former nature reserve in the Lower Saxony municipality of Sottrum in the Sottrum municipality in the Rotenburg (Wümme) district .

The former nature reserve with the registration number NSG LÜ 019 is 47.8  hectares in size. Most of it is part of the FFH area “Wümmeniederung”. In the south-east it borders directly on the former “ Fährhof ” nature reserve . The area has been under nature protection since April 14, 1935. On August 1, 2020, the newly designated nature reserve " Wümmeniederung mit Rodau, Wiedau and Trochelbach " opened. The district of Rotenburg (Wümme) was responsible under the nature conservation authority.

The former nature reserve is located between Ottersberg and Hellwege in the Wümmeniederung north of the Wümme . It is a former shifting dune area whose very fine sands are only slightly in motion. To reduce the movement of the sands, pines and beach grass used to be planted in some areas . After the traditional sheep grazing was abandoned after the Second World War, the dune area was populated by trees, so that today there are only a few open dune areas. Due to forestry and agricultural interventions, the dune range is divided into two parts, with pasture and forest in between.
