The moor near Osterwede is a nature reserve in the Lower Saxony town of Schneverdingen in the Heidekreis district .
The nature reserve with the sign NSG LÜ 080 is 51 hectares in size. It lies between Schneverdingen and Fintel and protects a moorland area that has formed in a shallow channel on the edge of a Geestrücken south of the Ruschwede. The moor is made up of alder and birch forests. There are individual grassland areas on the edge of the nature reserve .
The area is traversed by the Osterweder Bach, which flows into the Ruschwede, a tributary of the Fintau , near the nature reserve .
The area has been a nature reserve since July 16, 1981. The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the district of Heidekreis.
