The black moor near Dannhorn is a nature reserve with the registration number NSG LÜ 250 in the area of ​​the city of Soltau in the Heidekreis district in Lower Saxony .

location

The 40  hectare black moor near Dannhorn lies between the Soltau districts of Mittelstendorf , Marbostel and Tetendorf . It is named after the hamlet of Dannhorn , which belongs to Marbostel .

description

The area used to be the headwaters of the Hambrockbach. It mainly consists of a drainage ditch and a narrow, wooded valley with deadwood-rich moorland and quarry forest on low moorland. In places there are water-filled peat and an intermediate bog with moorland , wool grass , peat moss and Fluttorfmoosschwingrasen. In the area there is a fallow bog meadow with ear and gray willow bushes .

history

By ordinance of August 7, 2000, the black moor near Dannhorn was declared a nature reserve. The district of Heidekreis is responsible as the lower nature conservation authority.
