The Lichtenmoor is a nature reserve in the Lower Saxony town of Rethem (Aller) in the Heidekreis district .

The nature reserve with the sign NSG LÜ 017 is around 236  hectares in size. It is completely part of the 359.01 hectare FFH area of ​​the same name , which also includes adjacent areas in the district of Nienburg / Weser , which are designated as a nature reserve " Edge areas Lichtenmoor ". The nature reserve has been under protection since December 16, 1970. The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the district of Heidekreis.

The nature reserve is located northeast of Nienburg / Weser in the north of the eponymous Lichtenmoors .
