The Borstgrasrasen near Badenstedt is a nature reserve in the Lower Saxon town of Zeven in the municipality of Zeven in the district of Rotenburg (Wümme) .

The nature reserve with the sign NSG LÜ 304 is almost 7  hectares in size. It is almost congruent with the FFH area of ​​the same name designated in 2007 , for which an area of ​​6.93 hectares is specified. North of the reserve is the conservation area "Lower bath and Geest". The two protected areas are separated from each other by a road. The area has been under protection since November 1, 2015. The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the Rotenburg (Wümme) district.

The nature reserve is located in the Zevener Geest west of Zeven near the district of Badenstedt . It provides protection for a predominantly open, species-rich tufted grass lawn with some very rare plant species. In the north of the protected area there are small patches an old, dead wood rich Stieleichen- and oak-hornbeam forest and a pioneer forest with birches and aspens . There are small pools within the forest areas. In the west there is a small moor heath . To the south, the nature reserve borders on one of the ditches flowing towards the bathing area . There are many trees growing along the ditch. To the west, a strip of wood around five meters wide was laid out to protect against nutrient input from neighboring areas.

In the nature reserve, in addition to the species typical of arboreal grass lawns , such as arboreal grass , pill sedge , trident and tormentil with English and hairy gorse , millet sedge , yellow sedge and broad-leaved thyme , endangered species also settle in Lower Saxony.
