The Hepstedter Büsche are a nature reserve in the municipality of Hepstedt in the integrated municipality of Tarmstedt in the district of Rotenburg (Wümme) .

The nature reserve with the sign NSG LÜ 320 is around 108  hectares . It is almost congruent with the FFH area of the same name . To the west and south-east the nature reserve adjacent to the conservation area "Ummel / Thick wood", in the scope of the Nature Protection Act it replaces the conservation area. The area has been under protection since December 1, 2017. The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the Rotenburg (Wümme) district.

The nature reserve is located west of Zeven between Breddorf and Hepstedt in the west of the Zevener Geest . It protects a mixed forest of beech and oak on slightly damp, sandy locations. The predominant tree species are common beech , English oak and sessile oak . Other forest communities in the protected area are coniferous forest complexes made from European larch and smaller coniferous forests made from spruce , Douglas fir and coastal fir . In the long term, non-locational forest communities are to be converted into forest communities typical of the site.

The protected area is a habitat for a species-rich flora and fauna, including endangered plant species. Thus, in the Hepstedter bushes, Great Odermennig , Beautiful St. John's Wort and Oak Fern as well as the lichen script were detected.

The Hepstedter Büsche belong to the Lower Saxony State Forests Institute , which manages the forest as a forestry . As a natural forest, a sub-area is not subject to any forestry use.

Several forest trails run through the reserve . The district road 114 between Breddorf and Hepstedt crosses the area. The forest area is completely surrounded by agricultural land .
