Stellmoor und Weichel is a nature reserve in the Lower Saxon town of Rotenburg (Wümme) in the district of Rotenburg (Wümme) .

The nature reserve with the NSG WE 321 label is around 218  hectares in size. It is almost congruent with the FFH area of the same name . The area has been under nature protection since March 1, 2018. The former landscape protection area "Stellmoor", which was designated in 1938, has merged into the nature reserve. The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the Rotenburg (Wümme) district.

The nature reserve is north of Rotenburg (Wümme). It protects a forest area on a flat ridge and a bog complex on its edge . The forest area is primarily characterized by a deciduous forest of oak and beech . In places are coniferous forest companies from pine , larch and spruce interspersed. A 31.6 hectare part of the forest has been designated as a natural forest reserve since 1986 and is left to its natural development. A single oak stalking between Weichel and Eichhoop is designated as a natural monument.

The Stellmoor located in a depression in the west of the nature reserve is characterized by broken pine forest with pipe grass. In places there are peat moss vibrating lawns . Inside the depression there is a reservoir that drains to the Luhner Moorgraben. The pond is surrounded by thick willow bushes. It is separated by a dam from another still water, which is heavily silted up and surrounded by surrounding swamps with reed beds and wet bushes. On drained sites in the transition to the Luhner Holz, pine and birch forest with gels in the undergrowth grow .

In the peripheral areas of the nature reserve, small grassland areas are occasionally included in the reserve. They are used extensively as hay meadows .

The nature reserve borders the Rotenburg-Westerholz canal in the north and the Everinghausen-Scheeßeler Canal in the southeast. In the east it is bordered by a county road and a farm road . To the south and west, further forests, in the area of ​​the Luher Moorgraben, grassland areas adjoin the nature reserve. The area drains through ditches towards Wümme .
