The Röbbelbach - named after the Ilmenau tributary of the same name - is a nature reserve in the Lower Saxony municipalities of Römstedt and Weste in the joint municipality of Bevensen-Ebstorf and the town of Bad Bevensen in the Uelzen district .

The nature reserve with the sign NSG LÜ 278 is around 142  hectares . It is completely part of the FFH area "Ilmenau with tributaries". In the west it borders in places on the landscape protection area "Ilmenautal". The area has been a nature reserve since December 6, 2007. The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the district of Uelzen.

The nature reserve is located southeast of Bad Bevensen. It runs along the partly meandering Röbbelbach between Masbrock and Höver to Klein Hesebeck. It ends here at the road bridge on Landesstraße 254 between Bad Bevensen and Klein Hesebeck. The Wester Graben flows into the Röbbelbach at Höver and the Gollernbach at Röbbel, the courses and valleys of which are included in the nature reserve for a few hundred meters. The streams are mostly near-natural and partly moderately developed.

The lowlands are characterized by springy wet forests fed by pressure water from the slopes, predominantly swamp and bog forests, which shade the streams. Furthermore, reedbeds , Riede and swamps to find. In addition, there are predominantly moist to wet grassland areas within the nature reserve. At the valley edges there are sandy to loamy sites with mixed oak forests . Most of the arable land adjoins the nature reserve .

The landscape mainly serves some rare species of birds, such as B. the small and medium woodpecker and the oriole as a habitat. The brook is home to u. a. Otter , bullhead and brook lamprey .
