The Streitmoor is a nature reserve in the Lower Saxony city of Lüneburg and in the municipality of Adendorf in the Lüneburg district .
The nature reserve with the sign NSG LÜ 020 is 13 hectares in size. It lies north of Lüneburg and west of Adendorf on the edge of the Ilmenau valley , from which it is separated by a ridge. The area protects an elongated depression in which a moor has been created by the silting up of a pond . The silting area is characterized by reeds in the wet areas and by peat moss towards the edge . The peat moss passes over into areas characterized by marshmallows and birch forests. The higher, drier areas are predominantly made of pine trees.
The area is drained by a ditch to the Ilmenau and is not allowed to be entered.
The area has been a nature reserve since June 7, 1972. The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the district of Lüneburg.
