The Fehlingsbleck is a nature reserve in the Lower Saxony municipality of Brietlingen in the Lüneburg district .
The nature reserve with the sign NSG LÜ 024 is 20.8 hectares in size. It is located in the Echemer Marsch west of Echem directly on the Elbe Lateral Canal , which borders the area to the west.
The area consists of a quarry pond , which was created between 1968 and the mid-1970s when the Elbe Lateral Canal was built, and a bank area of different widths of the lake, which is predominantly made of wood. In the south and east, agricultural areas border the nature reserve. In the north there are other quarry ponds.
The lake is an important place to sleep for migrating waterfowl, especially during bird migration . In the nature reserve there is also a sleeping place for cormorants .
In the west of the nature reserve there is a viewing platform from which the water surface of the lake is clearly visible.
The area has been a nature reserve since June 1, 1974. The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the district of Lüneburg.
