The Elbe valley of Hohnstorf to Artlenburg is a nature reserve in the Lower Saxony the community Hohnstorf (Elbe) and the spots Artlenburg in scharnebeck in county Lüneburg .

location

The nature reserve with the sign NSG LÜ 357 is around 207  hectares in size. It is part of the FFH area "Elbe lowlands between Schnackenburg and Geesthacht". In the east it borders on the Lower Saxony Elbe Valley Biosphere Reserve . The area has been under nature protection since July 26, 2019. The responsible lower nature conservation authority is the district of Lüneburg.

The nature reserve is located northeast of Lüneburg . It extends along the Elbe from the Elbe bridge in Hohnstorf (Elbe) to the border with the Harburg district northwest of Artlenburg. It includes the same to the center line, the Elbe floodplain to the dike, and a within the dyke between Hohnstorf (same) and Artlenburg located, Auwald like mixed forest . In waters
