The Rifugio Tissi , full name Rifugio Attilio Tissi al Col Reàn , is a managed refuge of the Belluno section of the Club Alpino Italiano in Veneto. It is usually open from mid-June to mid-September and has 45 beds and 20 emergency camps.
location
The refuge is almost on the summit of Col Reàn at 2250 m slm, opposite the northwest face of the Civetta. The Dolomiten-Höhenweg 1 leads past the hut .
history
Construction of the refuge started in 1961. Two years later it was opened and dedicated to the mountaineer and local politician Attilio Tissi, who had an accident on the Three Peaks in 1959 . Tissi was one of the most famous mountaineers in the Dolomites and made numerous first ascents in the Civetta. The rifugio was expanded between 1983 and 1986 and modernized in 2005.
