The 2000/01 season of the Ringer Bundesliga started with 19 clubs. KSV Germania Aalen became champion at the end of the season .

The champions of the northern relay were AV Germania Markneukirchen , who remained unbeaten in 18 fights and only suffered a draw against RWG Mömbris-Königshofen away from home. Furthermore, the SV Halle, RWG Mömbris-Königshofen and the traditional club KSV Witten 07 qualified for the quarter-finals.

In the season south KSV Germania Aalen was the superior champion with 30: 2 points, the only defeat was against the second KSV AE Köllerbach . The VfK Schifferstadt and KSV Haslach completed the quarter-finals.
