Risa Shigetomo ; ( jap. 重 友 梨 佐 , Shigetomo Risa ; born August 29, 1987 in Bizen ) is a Japanese marathon runner .

In the 10 km of San'yō she was fifth in 2006, second in 2008 and fifth in 2010.

In 2011 she planned her debut at the Nagoya Marathon on the 42.195 km distance; after this was canceled because of the Tōhoku earthquake , she started at the London Marathon , but only came 24th there. that fall, she finished fifth in the Virginia Beach Half Marathon.

In 2012 she won the Osaka Women's Marathon and was then nominated for the Olympic Games in London .

At the. On August 30, 2015, she ran the marathon at the World Athletics Championships in Beijing . She needed 2:31:40 h for the run and reached 14th place.

Risa Shigetomo is 1.68 m tall, weighs 53 kg and starts for the Tenmaya department store team .
