Rita Kapfhammer
Rita Kapfhammer (born February 9, 1964 in Bad Tölz ) is a German opera, operetta, concert and lied singer ( mezzo-soprano / alto ).
Life
Rita Kapfhammer was born in Bad Tölz and grew up in Bad Heilbrunn . She attended the girls' secondary school with boarding school “St. Ursula “Hohenburg Castle near Lenggries. After graduating from school, she completed a two-year apprenticeship as a hotel manager. From 1988–95, Rita Kapfhammer studied singing with Reri Grist and Jan-Hendrik Rootering at the Munich University of Music, in the lied class of Helmut Deutsch , oratorio class by Diethard Hellmann .
1997–2007 Rita Kapfhammer was a member of the ensemble at the Ulmer Theater . There she sang the major parts of her subject a. a. Santuzza ( Cavalleria rusticana ), Jane Seymour ( Anna Bolena ), Amneris ( Aida ), Dalila ( Samson et Dalila ), Adalgisa ( Norma ), Suzuki ( Madame Butterfly ), Azucena ( Il trovatore ), Josepha Vogelhuber ( Im Weiße Rößl ), Dolly Gallagher ( Hello, Dolly! ), Leokadja Begbick ( Mahagonny ), Mrs. Lovett ( Sweeney Todd ) etc.
From the 2007/08 season to 2011/12 Rita Kapfhammer was a member of the ensemble at the Gärtnerplatztheater in Munich . There she made her debut with Marcellina ( Figaro's wedding ) and Carmen ( Carmen ). Other roles: Marzelline ( The Barber of Seville ), Frau Reich ( Merry Wives of Windsor ), Third Lady ( Magic Flute ), Gertrud ( Hansel and Gretel ), Nancy ( Martha ) and Pamela ( Fra Diavolo ).
Rita Kapfhammer is a regular guest, so far in the Gdańsk State Opera (PL) as Jane Seymour, at the Mallorca Festival (E) as Santuzza, in Gran Canaria (E) as Dalila, in the Meininger Theater as Azucena, in the Theater Regensburg as Ulrika, im Anhalt Theater as Adalgisa and in the Koblenz Theater . With the start of the 2012/13 season, the artist will be a member of the ensemble at the Anhaltisches Theater in Dessau.
In addition to her engagement as an opera singer, Rita Kapfhammer is also in demand as a concert singer. She interprets u. a. the Messiah by Georg Friedrich Handel , Bach's Johannes- u. St. Matthew Passion , Mass in B minor , Christmas Oratorio , Dvořák's Stabat Mater , Missa solemnis , Frank Martin's Golgotha . She sings spiritual programs, cantatas and oratorios in many churches, e.g. B. in the Allerheiligen-Hofkirche , in the Ulm Martin-Luther-Church , in the Vöhlinschloss Illertissen , in the historical city theater Weißenhorn , in the national museum , in the Herkulessaal Munich as well as in the Philharmonie Berlin .
Rita Kapfhammer is also involved as a song interpreter , which is reflected in her numerous recitals.
