The manor Varresbeck is an abandoned aristocratic seat of the Lords of Varresbeck in Wuppertal-Elberfeld .
The manor was first mentioned in documents in 1402. Feudal lords were the Counts of Berg . From 1435 it was in the civil possession of the de Weerth family .
Most recently, a half-timbered house with hipped gables from the 16th century was preserved. It had to give way to a road expansion. The building became the Good Hungenbach translocated . It was measured by the architect Hans Schwippert and prepared for the move. The laying began in 1972. The building was rebuilt in 1981 under the direction of Hildegard von Fragstein . Due to inadequate storage, the oak could no longer be used, and the Bochum company Stangenberg rebuilt the building structure.
