The River Nore ( Irish : An Fheoir or Abhainn na Feoire ) is a river in Ireland .

The River Nore belongs to the Three Sisters with the River Barrow and the River Suir . It rises on the eastern slopes of Devil's Bit Mountain in County Tipperary in the central interior of the Republic of Ireland and flows over 140 km in a south-easterly direction through Counties Laois and Kilkenny to flow north of New Ross into the River Barrow, the after about 15 km at Waterford in the River Suir flows, which in Dunmore East on the Celtic sea in the Atlantic flows.

In its course, the River Nore passes Durrow and flows through the city of Kilkenny and Thomastown .

The fishing grounds of the River Nore, which are very good in parts, consist mainly of trout and salmon .
