Helmar Hegewald (born June 27, 1941 in Radebeul ) is a German politician ( SED or PDS ) and university professor for Marxist-Leninist ethics. He was an unofficial employee of the GDR State Security , a member of the last people 's chamber and the Saxon state parliament .

Life

Hegewald made his Abitur in 1960 at the Kreuzschule in Dresden . He then completed an apprenticeship as a chemical technician (chemical skilled worker). This was followed by a degree in vocational education at the TU Dresden . Between 1965 and 1987 Hegewald was assistant, senior assistant and lecturer in the philosophy and cultural studies section there. In 1971 he received his doctorate, in 1973 he received the Facultas Docendi for his field of dialectical and historical materialism in Dresden. In 1976 he completed an additional course in philosophy / ethics at the Leningrad State University in the USSR . In 1979 the doctorate B to Dr. sc. phil.

From 1980 Hegewald was a university lecturer for Marxist-Leninist ethics at the Philosophy and Cultural Studies section of the TU Dresden, from 1987 to 1991 as a full professor.

Hegewald is married and has two daughters.

Helmar Hegewald was a member of the district board of the Society for Nature and Environment and from 1986 to 1990 a member of the Dresden district assembly . From December 1989 he was a member of the presidium of the party executive committee of the SED-PDS . From March to October 1990 Hegewald was a member of the People's Chamber . In October 1990 he entered the Saxon state parliament via the state list. There he was chairman of the environmental committee until he was unanimously voted out of office as a Stasi IM in November 1991 after his exposure. After his work as an unofficial employee of the GDR State Security became known , Hegewald refused to resign as a member of parliament.

Hegewald ran for the PDS in the Bundestag election in 1994 in the Bundestag constituency 328 (Reichenbach - Plauen - Auerbach - Oelsnitz), but with 13% of the votes did not achieve the direct mandate.
