Rapids on the Rivière Nastapoka

The River Rivière Nastapoka ( English Nastapoka River ) is a larger river in the administrative region of North du Québec in the Canadian province of Québec which flows through the Parc national Tursujuq .

It has a length of 360 km and a catchment area of 13,400 km². The river has its origin in the Lacs des Loups Marins . From there it flows in a westerly direction through the western Labrador Peninsula and flows into the Chenal Nastapoka and the Hudson Bay . Opposite its mouth is the Îles Nastapoka coastal archipelago . The estuary is about 40 km north of the Inuit settlement Umiujaq and the inland bay Lac Guillaume-Delisle .
