The Rivière Nicolet is a right tributary of the Saint Lawrence River in the Canadian province of Québec .
The Rivière Nicolet has its origin in the lake Lac Nicolet . It flows in a predominantly north-westerly direction through the administrative region of Center-du-Québec . He passes the places Notre-Dame-de-Ham , Victoriaville , Sainte-Clotilde-de-Horton , Notre-Dame-du-Bon-Conseil , Sainte-Monique and Nicolet , before finally being 15 km southwest of Trois-Rivières in the Lac Saint-Pierre , a river widening of the St. Lawrence River, flows into it. Important tributaries are Rivière Gosselin and Rivière Bulstrode from the right, and 5 km before the confluence of the Rivière Nicolet Sud-Ouest from the left. The river has a length of 129 km. It drains an area of 3419 km². The mean runoff is 71 m² / s.
