The Rivière Nouvelle is a tributary of the Baie des Chaleurs in the south of the Gaspésie Peninsula in the Canadian province of Québec .
The Rivière Nouvelle has its source in the Monts Notre-Dame in the south of the Réserve faunique de Dunière . It initially flows in an easterly direction and later in a predominantly south-southeast direction through the MRC Avignon . The Petite rivière Nouvelle meets the river on the right. The Rivière Nouvelle passes the municipality of Nouvelle and finally flows into the Baie des Chaleurs, a bay in the Gulf of Saint Lawrence . The Rivière Nouvelle has a length of 76 km. It drains an area of 1197 km². The mean discharge is 27 m³ / s.
