The Roßkopf south of Hinterstein ( Bad Hindelang ) in the Bavarian district of Oberallgäu is 1823.4 m above sea level. NHN high summit in the Allgäu Alps .
Location and surroundings
The predominantly grassed mountain lies in the ridge that stretches from the saddle heads to the north and borders the Erzbergtal in the west. The notch height of the Roßkopf is at least 103 meters, its dominance 800 meters, with the Sattelkopf being the reference mountain in each case.
Ascent
There is no marked path leading to the Roßkopf. It can be reached easily from the gable house on the way over the Oberschrattenberg , whereby from the striking saddle south of the summit the ascent takes place pathlessly over the steep grass flank.
