Rob Statham

Robert "Rob" Statham (born April 4, 1959 in Bournemouth , Dorset ) is a British jazz and fusion musician ( electric bass ).

Statham attended the Guildhall School of Music ; in the course of his musician career he worked a. a. with Dick Heckstall-Smith , Ed Jones, Keith Emerson , Mike Stern , John Etheridge , Jim Mullen , Ian Carr ’s Nucleus, Mojo Buford , Ruby Turner , Dana Gillespie , Kelvin Christiane and Theo Travis . He also composed, taught and wrote columns for Bass Guitar Magazine . Statham lives in London. In the field of jazz / fusion, he was involved in 21 recording sessions between 1986 and 2011.
