Robert Bohlmann (born September 6, 1854 in Gandersheim , † May 20, 1944 in Braunschweig ) was a German pharmacist and weapons collector.

Life

After his apprenticeship in Gandersheim from 1869 to 1873, Robert Bohlmann studied from 1876 to 1878 at the Polytechnic School in Braunschweig. He then worked in several pharmacies in Germany before he acquired the Hagenmarkt pharmacy in Braunschweig in 1889 and took over its management in 1894. Bohlmann was a knowledgeable arms collector and historian who published several essays on the subject. In addition, from around 1900 he built up an important collection of historical pharmacy equipment. The collection is now in the possession of the Braunschweigisches Landesmuseum . He was also in community organizations such as B. of the Fatherland Museum Foundation , of which he was temporarily chairman.

Bohlmann last lived in the then Wilhelm-Friedrich-Loeper- Straße 49, the former and today's Adolfstraße , in Braunschweig. He died in May 1944, a few months after the Hagenmarkt-Apotheke was destroyed by Allied bombing raids on February 10th.
