Robert Burton (actor)
Robert Burton (born August 13, 1895 in Eastman , Georgia , † September 29, 1962 in Woodland Hills , Los Angeles , California ) was an American actor .
Life
At the age of 57, Robert Burton made his film actor debut in seven different productions in 1952, including City of Illusions and The Final Decision . In the ten years that followed, up to his death in 1962, he worked in over 150 film and television productions, which made him a very busy supporting actor. Burton often embodied strict, sometimes unfriendly and corrupt power figures such as police commissioners. Sheriffs, politicians, businessmen and officers. In addition to many cinema roles, he took on guest appearances on series such as Twilight Zone , Smoking Colts , Perry Mason , Mister Ed and Maverick .
