Robert Helbig

Robert Helbig (born February 15, 1877 in Bautzen , † January 26, 1956 in Reutlingen ) was a German high school teacher and politician (NSDAP).

Live and act

After attending primary school and secondary school in Dresden, Helbig completed training in the Imperial Postal Service (Posteleve) from April 1, 1896 to March 31, 1898. He then studied German and Romance and English philology in Leipzig until 1903 . In July 1903 Helbig passed the state examination for the higher teaching post. In addition, he submitted his dissertation for Dr. phil. in which he dealt with the subject of the Italian elements in the Albanian language . In October 1903 Helbig began teaching as a teacher at the Staatsrealgymnasium in Zittau . From autumn 1905 to autumn 1925 he was director of the agricultural school in Elsterwerda and from autumn 1928 he was director of the agricultural school and business advisory center in Jessen . From 1917 to 1918 he took part in the First World War with the intelligence force of an artillery regiment .

In the 1920s, Helbig joined the National Socialist German Workers' Party (NSDAP). On January 1, 1930, Helbig became a town councilor in Zittau for his party. In the Reichstag election of September 1930 , Helbig was elected to the Reichstag for the NSDAP , to which he belonged until July 1932 as a representative of constituency 28 (Dresden-Bautzen). After that, he no longer appeared in public.

Helbig was married to Helene Helbig-Tränkner (born on January 16, 1878 as Helene Tränkner).
