Robert Krick

Robert Krick (born June 7, 1922 in Würzburg ; † June 24, 2017 there ) was a German publisher and entrepreneur .

Life

Robert Krick was born in Würzburg. In 1941 he was called up for military service and completed an aircraft pilot training course. As a pilot in the German Air Force , he was deployed on the Eastern Front for four years . After being taken prisoner in Bad Aibling by the US , Robert Krick founded a commercial advertising company in Bad Kissingen in 1946 . For this he received a decree from the American military government to work as a self-employed advertising specialist. After the currency reform in 1948, Robert Krick and his company moved to Würzburg. With the founding of Wirtschaftswerbung Krick and Robert Krick Verlag, he and his wife Margret Krick laid the foundation for the Krick corporate family. In 1984 Robert Krick was one of the initiators in the development of private broadcasting in Würzburg. In 2002 Robert Krick withdrew from active day-to-day business. Until 2007 he was on the board of trustees of the Citizens Hospital of the Holy Spirit .

In 1992, Krick and his wife founded the Robert and Margret Krick Foundation . "The purpose of the foundation is to contribute to the promotion of youth and elderly care, public health - especially cancer prevention - and the welfare system to support people in need," says the Robert-und-Margret-Krick foundation deed Foundation of June 7, 1992. With the help of the foundation's capital, substantial amounts have been made available to support charitable institutions in the city of Würzburg over the past twenty years.
