Robert Lucien Chapuis
Robert Lucien Chapuis MEP (born April 4, 1935 in Vescemont , Territoire de Belfort , France , † March 8, 2009 ) was Bishop of Mananjary in Madagascar.
Life
Robert Lucien Chapuis joined the religious order of the Paris Mission (Société des Missions Etrangères de Paris) and was ordained a priest on December 22, 1962 . He then served in the mission.
In 1968 he was appointed by Pope Paul VI. appointed first bishop of the Mananjary diocese in the Fianarantsoa province in Madagascar . The episcopal ordination donated him on June 23, 1968 Gilbert Ramanantoanina SJ , Archbishop of Fianarantsoa ; Co - consecrators were Jules-Joseph Puset PSS , Bishop of Tamatave , and Bernard Charles Ratsimamotoana MS , Bishop of Morondava .
His resignation was on December 29, 1973 by Paul VI. granted.
