Robert Zumbühl

Robert Zumbühl (born August 27, 1901 in Münchenbuchsee ; † December 10, 1974 in Zollikon , entitled to reside in Zollikon and Büren, municipality of Oberdorf NW ) was a Swiss politician ( FDP ).

Life

Zumbühl attended school in Biel , studied Jus in Bern , Berlin and Hamburg and received his doctorate with the title Dr. iur. 1927. He worked as a lawyer in Geneva , Biel and Bern. From 1939 he was managing director of an industrial association and legal advisor in the private sector. From 1943 to 1959 he sat for the FDP in the Zurich Cantonal Council before he was elected to the government council in 1959 . He was a member of this until 1967 and led the police and military management and from 1963 the construction management. Zumbühl was President of the Government Council in 1965/1966.

In the Swiss military Zumbühl held the rank of colonel . He was also a member of the Grasshopper Club Zurich , from 1939 President of the National Football League , from 1941 President of the Swiss Football Association and from 1944 Central President of the Swiss National Association for Physical Education.
