Roberto Antonio Dávila Uzcátegui (born November 6, 1929 in Santiago de los Caballeros de Mérida , Venezuela ) is a Venezuelan clergyman and emeritus Roman Catholic auxiliary bishop in Caracas .

Life

Roberto Antonio Dávila Uzcátegui was ordained a priest on October 31, 1954 .

Paul VI appointed him on January 25, 1995 as prelate of San Fernando de Apure and titular bishop of Aurusuliana . The apostolic nuncio in Venezuela Antonio del Giudice consecrated him on September 10th of the same year as bishop ; Co- consecrators were Angel Pérez Cisneros , Archbishop of Mérida and Domingo Roa Pérez , Archbishop of Maracaibo .

With the elevation of the territorial prelature to the diocese on November 12, 1974, he became the first bishop of San Fernando de Apure. On June 23, 1992, John Paul II appointed him auxiliary bishop in Caracas, Santiago de Venezuela and titular bishop of Arindela . On December 12, 2005, Pope Benedict XVI. his age-related retirement.
