Roberto Tagliavini

Roberto Tagliavini (born December 6, 1976 in Parma ) is an Italian opera singer ( bass ).

Life

Tagliavini was trained by the baritone Romano Franceschetto . In 2005 he made his debut at the Teatro Regio di Parma in Gluck's Alceste . His career has since taken him to major European opera houses, his repertoire ranges from Mozart to Rossini , Bellini and Donizetti to Verdi . In 2009 he was voted the best performer of the season for the performance of Selim in Il turco in Italia at the Teatro Verdi in Trieste, and in 2010 he won as Loredano in I due Foscari and in Verdi's Requiem under Lorin Maazel - both at the Verdi Festival in Parma Award as the best young singer.
