Rocco Talucci (born November 6, 1936 in Venosa ) is an Italian Roman Catholic clergyman and emeritus Archbishop of Brindisi-Ostuni .

Life

By the Bishop of Venosa and Melfi-Rapolla , Domenico Petroni , he was ordained a priest for the diocese of Melfi-Rapolla on July 9, 1950 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Tursi-Lagonegro on January 25, 1988 . He was ordained bishop on March 25th of the same year by the Cardinal Prefect of the Congregation for Bishops , Cardinal Bernardin Gantin ; Co- consecrators were Giuseppe Vairo , Archbishop of Potenza-Muro Lucano-Marsico Nuovo , and Vincenzo Cozzi , Bishop of Melfi-Rapolla-Venosa.

He was appointed Archbishop of Brindisi - Ostuni on February 5, 2000, and was introduced to office on April 8 of the same year. Pope Benedict XVI accepted his retirement on October 20, 2012 for reasons of age.

Rocco Talucci is prior of the Brindisi / Ostuni Commandery of the Order of the Knights of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem .
