Rock Candy Records is a music label founded by the British music journalist Derek Oliver , which specializes in the remastering and reissuing of older albums by artists in the field of rock music . The focus is on the so-called classic rock .

Derek Oliver first worked as a teacher, then as a journalist in the late 1970s and 1980s. He wrote for English language music magazines such as Melody Maker , Sounds and Kerrang! , later he became A&R manager , overseeing bands such as AC / DC , Pantera , Dream Theater , Bad Company and Yes .
Rock Candy Records originally sold rock music albums that were originally released in the 1980s and are no longer available. In close cooperation with the respective artists, the recordings will be remastered, the booklets redrafted and text about the creation.
