He signed a recording deal with Universal South Records in late 2005 and released his debut album in early 2006. Three tracks hit the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart , including Lipstick , which reached number 29. After being removed from Universal South's list in 2007, he signed with the Robbins Nashville label , where he released his fourth single, I Can't Believe It's Me , in 2008 .

Life

Rockie Lynne Rash was adopted in Statesville. His family consists of Southern Baptists . At the age of twelve he bought a guitar from an uncle, as well as a record player and records from Jimi Hendrix and Kiss , which he heard in the closet. He later played in his high school jazz ensemble and in local bands.

After leaving school, he joined the United States Army and served as a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg , North Carolina. After serving in the Army, Lynne attended the Guitar Institute of Technology at the Army's expense. In the meantime, he had little luck finding a record deal. He then moved to Myrtle Beach , where he worked with locally known musician Mike Shane. He followed Shane to Nashville in the early 1990s , where he performed as a background musician for musicians The McCarters and Merle Haggard's son , Noel Haggard . But he also wanted to play his own music, so he began recording and releasing his own tracks. Eventually he moved to Coon Rapids . He later moved back to Nashville and started his music career. He was discovered by an employee of the Warner Music Group , who recommended him to Universal South Records .

Career as a musician

He signed a recording deal with Universal South Records in 2005 and released his first single, Lipstick, later that year under the name Rockie Lynne. This track became his first single in the charts. It reached number 29 on the Billboard Country Singles Chart. It was the first single that was released from his album, which was released in May 2006 on Universal South . The other two singles from the album -  Do We Still and More  - both missed the Top 40, reached # 46 and # 48, respectively, and Lynnie left the label in 2007. An independent album, Twilight , was released in February 2007.

He has appeared on the Grand Ole Opry stage fourteen times so far .

In late 2007 he was the first artist to sign a contract with the Robbins Nashville label , a newly established independent label founded by the New York company Robbins Entertainment. It hit the charts for the fourth time in 2008 at number 49 with the title I Can't Believe It's Me .

As a US Army veteran, he is often booked to appear at patriotic or military events, and his original songs are properly licensed for use in conjunction with veteran or patriotic-themed items.

Lynnie is the founder of a statewide charity called Tribute To The Troops, which was founded in 2004 in Minnesota. This organization has four regional associations. They are located in Minnesota , Illinois , Oregon, and North Carolina . This nonprofit has raised over $ 300,000 in donations to an education fund that pays tuition fees for children who lost a parent or guardian in their service.

His songs are regularly played on regional and national networks, for example on a Wisconsin Public Television program that won an Emmy , in episodes of Criminal Minds or on broadcasts of "Fox NFL Sunday"
