Roderich Mojsisovics from Mojsvár (ca.1932)

Roderich Edmund Ladislaus Anton Julius Mojsisovics von Mojsvár (born May 10, 1877 in Graz , † March 30, 1953 in Bruck an der Mur ) was an Austrian conductor , composer , music and stage writer.

Life

Roderich Mojsisovics von Mojsvár was director of the Styrian Music Association from 1912 to 1931 (from 1920 conservatory ). From 1932 to 1935 and from 1944 he was a lecturer at the University of Graz, in between (1935 to 1944) in Munich and Mannheim .

Otto Siegl , Ernst Ludwig Uray , Grete von Zieritz , Alois Pachernegg and Alfons Vodosek were among his students .

Mojsisovics was married to Helene Milde (1909). His father was August Mojsisovics (Felix Georg Hermann August Mojsisovics, 1848-1897), his mother was Lily Schröer. His brother Edgar Mojsisovics (1881-1935) was a Romanist.
