After a year he was transferred to the second team, in which he scored four goals in 13 games in the 2010/11 season. After Urby Emanuelson moved to AC Milan in January 2011 , de Boer - now head coach of AFC Ajax - took the 19-year-old into the first team. On January 24, 2011, Sneijder sat on the bench for the first time in the Eredivisie when he played against FC Utrecht in his hometown .

In August 2011, Sneijder was loaned to FC Utrecht . Coach Erwin Koeman only found out about the loan deal afterwards. The loan deal ran for the remainder of the season; the FCU had a subsequent purchase option for Sneijder. On August 27, 2011 Koeman Sneijder made his debut in the Eredivisie in the starting lineup of the Utrecht. In the 3-1 win against Roda JC Kerkrade , the first win of the season for the Utrecht team, Sneijder scored his first league goal to make it 2-1 in the 60th minute. In the 85th minute, Sneijder was substituted for Anouar Kali . A “fantastic debut”, in which he “left his mark on the game,” said De Telegraaf ; Voetbal International certified it a "dream start". At the end of the season he had scored three goals in 23 games.

RKC Waalwijk

During the summer break of 2012, Sneijder moved to RKC Waalwijk . On January 31, 2014 he canceled his contract in Waalwijk. On February 1, 2014, he signed with the second division Almere City FC until the end of the season .
