Rodrigo Corrales Rodal (born January 24, 1991 in Cangas ) is a Spanish handball player .
The 2.01 m tall and 99 kg heavy goalkeeper comes from the youth department of FC Barcelona . From 2009 he was part of the squad of the first and second teams that play in the ASOBAL league and the División de Honor Plata de Balonmano . In the 2011/12 season he played his first four games in the first division and became Spanish champions. On November 26, 2011 he made his European debut in the EHF Champions League against RK Bosna Sarajevo . From 2012 he was on loan for BM Huesca . For the 2014/15 season he was signed by the Polish club Wisła Płock , which was overseen by the Spanish national coach Manolo Cadenas . From the summer of 2017 he was under contract with the French first division club Paris Saint-Germain . With Paris he won the French championship in 2018, 2019 and 2020 and the French cup in 2018. For the 2020/21 season he moved to the Hungarian club KC Veszprém .
Rodrigo Corrales finished fifth at the U-21 World Cup in Greece in 2011. In the Spanish senior team , Corrales made his debut against Switzerland on April 5, 2014 in Lausanne . He was previously in the provisional squad for the 2014 European Championship , but was not called into the final squad. In 2018 and 2020 he was European champion with the Spanish team .
