Rodrigo Vergilio , also simply called Careca , born April 13, 1983 in Pederneiras , is a Brazilian football player .
Career
Careca learned to play football at SE Matonense and Corinthians São Paulo in São Paulo . He signed his first contract with his youth club SE Matonense in Matão . About EC Noroeste he moved to Japan in 2004 , where he joined the Ventforet Kofu from Kofu . After four games, he returned to his native Brazil in the same year. Here he played u. a. for AA Flamengo , São Bernardo FC , Grêmio Barueri and Comercial FC (Ribeirão Preto) . In 2007 he went back to Japan and signed a contract with Thespakusatsu Gunma , a club that played in the J2 League and is based in Maebashi . He moved to league rivals Cerezo Osaka and then Shonan Bellmare in 2008. In the same year he went to the Middle East . Here he played for al-Nasr SC , al-Kuwait SC , al-Nasr Dubai SC , al-Shaab and Dibba Al-Fujairah Club . In August 2013 he went to his former club São Bernardo FC. He celebrated the Copa Paulista with the club in 2013 and then moved to Náutico Capibaribe . In 2015 he went to the Far East and signed a contract with the Thai first division club Navy FC , a club based on the east coast in Sattahip . With the Navy he played 15 times in the first division, the Thai Premier League . In 2016 he played for league rivals Chonburi FC in Chonburi . After a year he returned to the Navy in Sattahip. The crowd favorite played here until mid-2018. After differences with the club, he moved to Suphanburi to league rivals Suphanburi FC . After three months in Suphanburi, he returned to his home country in August 2018 and joined his former club São Bernardo FC from São Bernardo do Campo . In December 2018, he ended his career as an active soccer player
