Roger Boltshauser (born 1964 ) is a Swiss architect .

Life

Boltshauser studied architecture at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences (HTA) between 1988 and 1990 and at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich between 1991 and 1995 . From 1990 to 1991 he was a design assistant at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences. After his diploma , for which he was awarded the Willy Studer Prize for the best final diploma , he founded Boltshauser Architekten AG in Zurich in 1996. At the ETH Zurich he was a research assistant at the Institute for the History and Theory of Architecture gta at the ETH Zurich . From 1997 to 1999 he was a design assistant at the ETH Zurich and EPFL Lausanne as part of Peter Märkli's guest professorship . From 2004 to 2010 he was a lecturer for design at the University of Applied Sciences HTW Chur and from 2005 to 2009 he was a lecturer for design and construction in the master’s course at the Anhalt University of Dessau DIA in the Studio Chur Institute of Architecture CIA. In 2007 he became a member of the Association of Swiss Architects BSA . From 2012 to 2017, Roger Boltshauser was a member of the City of Lucerne's Urban Planning Commission . Since 2015 he has been a member of the board of directors of the Schweizer Baumuster-Centrale Zürich. Roger Boltshauser has been a member of the building council of the City of Zurich since 2018 . From 2011 to 2014 he was employed at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences as an expert on bachelor and master theses for design and construction. From 2016 to 2018 he was visiting professor at EPFL Lausanne and at the Technical University of Munich . He has been a guest lecturer at ETH Zurich since 2018 .
