Roger Lenhart

Roger Lenhart (born July 25, 1958 in Rüsselsheim ) is a German politician ( CDU ) and was a member of the Hessian state parliament .

After graduating from high school in 1978, he trained as an industrial clerk and studied law in Frankfurt from 1981 . He passed the first state examination in law in 1987, followed by a legal clerkship and the second state examination in 1990. Since then he has worked as a lawyer and consultant for insurance and financial services.

Lenhart has been a member of the CDU since 1982 and was chairman of the city association from 1999 to 2008. As a directly elected member, he belonged to the Hessian state parliament for the constituency of Groß-Gerau I (consisting of Bischofsheim , Ginsheim-Gustavsburg , Kelsterbach , Nauheim , Raunheim and Rüsselsheim) for a legislative period. In the state elections in Hesse in 2008 , he achieved 32.4% of the first votes and was thus defeated by his SPD rival Renate Meixner-Römer .
