Roland Eisenlohr

Roland Eisenlohr (born June 6, 1887 in Lörrach ; † October 26, 1959 in Wiesbaden ) was a German aerospace engineer and civil engineer .

Life

Born on June 6, 1887 in Loerrach to 1910 in the study of 1907 Technical Royal College Charlottenburg building in the main compartment. In 1908 he came on a first flight through one of the Wright brothers . At the beginning of 1909 he founded the first academic flying group in Germany. After moving to Karlsruhe, the doctorate to Dr.-Ing. and later the state exam to become a government architect . In October 1913, he acquired a free balloon driver's license. During the time of the First World War he served as a pilot and designed for the aircraft Friedrichshafen the fighter FF 46 (D I). He then gave lectures on aviation technology at the Karlsruhe State Technical College. From 1920 he was a member of the Technical Committee (Teko), which carried out the construction testing of the aircraft for the Rhön competitions on the Wasserkuppe . The glider he designed for Weltensegler-Werke GmbH took part in the flying competition in the Rhön in the summer of 1922 .

From 1938 he worked in Wiesbaden as a building surveyor and architect .
