Roland Munz (born March 29, 1972 ) is a Swiss politician ( SP ).

biography

Munz studied at the Institute for Communication Sciences at the University of Freiburg . After completing his studies, he presided over the Veloblitz courier company in Zurich from 2002 to 2007 , for which he has been a bicycle courier since 1995. Munz's main job is a freelance communications designer.

From January 2000 to May 2007 and again since June 2009 he sits on the Zurich Cantonal Council . Here he has represented the SP since 2001, having made his debut in the cantonal parliament as the last representative of the LdU, which was dissolved in 2000 . Roland Munz politicizes in the areas of transport policy , spatial planning and economic policy . He took a seat in the Commission for Planning and Construction (KPB) and the Commission for Energy, Transport and Environment (KEVU). Since June 2010 he has been a member of the Supervisory Commission for Economic Enterprises (AWU). The AWU is the political supervisory body for the electricity works of the canton of Zurich (EKZ), the building insurance of the canton of Zurich (GVZ) and the Zürcher Kantonalbank (ZKB).

From 2008 to 2011, Munz presided over the Environment Commission of the Canton of Zurich. The openly gay politician is also the founder and managing director of Stop Murder Music ZH .

Munz is single and lives in Schwamendingen .
