Rolf Dieckmann

Rolf Dieckmann (born February 15, 1947 in Schleswig-Holstein ) is a German journalist , cartoonist , satirist and writer .

Life

Dieckmann attended the Rudolf Steiner School (Waldorf School) on Elbchaussee in Hamburg-Nienstedten until 1966 . He then worked as a journalist for various newspapers and in 1991 took over the Humor & Satire department with the “air bubbles” at Stern . In 2014 his works were the subject of the exhibition "Do you think that's funny?" in Hamburg. In 2017 Dieckmann was a member of the jury for the "German Cartoon Prize" .

Since 1996 he has been working as a freelance author in Hamburg and Wendland . In addition, he was co-partner of the film production Neue Impuls Film ("Engel und Joe") until 2002 and co-owner of the Kramer gallery in Hamburg's Speicherstadt until 2000. Dieckmann published several books, including four crime novels.

Dieckmann was also seen in an episode of the ORF 2 documentary series Wir sind Österreich about Gerhard Haderer (first broadcast October 1, 2010; director: Arne Sinnwell).

In a short report, stern colleague Tobias Schülert interviewed Dieckmann in his apartment in 2008.
