Rolf Lautenbacher (born April 17, 1966 in Karlsruhe ) is a former German triathlete . He is an Ironman winner (1998).

Career

Rolf Lautenbacher was active as a tennis player in his youth, has been a triathlon since 1989, has been a professional since 1995 and ended his career in October 2008 with 31 successfully completed Ironman distances.

Among the greatest successes of the Bruchsalers , who have participated in around 250 triathlon competitions in almost two decades, include victories at the Ironman Lanzarote and the long distance race in Ibiza, sixth place at the ITU long distance world championship in 1998 in Japan and winning the bronze medal in 1995 at the European Championship over the long distance.
