Rolf Harry Nordgren (born August 8, 1946 in Gävle ) is a former Swedish ski jumper .
Career
Nordgren, who started for the Bollnäs GIF club , made his international debut at the Four Hills Tournament 1970/71 . But after rank 44 in Innsbruck was his best individual result, he did not get above rank 48 in the overall ranking. The following Four Hills Tournament in 1971/72 was even worse for him. So he could not jump into the top 60 in any of the four competitions and only ended up on the 60th place overall.
At the Swedish Championships in 1972 Nordgren won his first national title in individual jumping. He then traveled as a member of the Swedish national team to the 1972 Winter Olympics in Sapporo . Nordgren showed a good performance from the normal hill and together with Zbyněk Hubač and Frithjof Prydz took 11th place. Nordgren also impressed on the large hill with jumps on 97.5 and 92.5 meters and also achieved 11th place.
At the Four Hills Tournament 1972/73 he also convinced for the first time in the tour with good performances. At the opening competition in Oberstdorf on the Schattenbergschanze he jumped in 14th place on a good top 20 place. In Innsbruck and Bischofshofen it was difficult for him to keep his performances constant. In the end, Nordgren reached 44th place overall. In 1973 he won the Swedish championship for the second time in a row.
He completed his best tour with the Four Hills Tournament in 1973/74 . He achieved his best individual tour result with 13th place in Garmisch-Partenkirchen . In the overall standings he achieved 36th place with 790.3 points.
Nordgren won his third national title in a row a little later at the Swedish Championships. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1974 in Falun , he jumped from the large hill on 92.5 and 88 meters and thus reached 19th place. After jumping on 80 and 83.5 meters on the normal hill, he finished 13th as the best Swede .
After a year break from the tour, he played his last international tournament with the Four Hills Tournament in 1975/76 . In the overall standings, however, he did not get beyond 92nd place.
