Rolf Rademann

Rolf Rademann (born September 4, 1934 in Markkleeberg ) is a German deacon , retired church music director and honorary citizen of the city of Schwarzenberg .

Life

Rolf Rademann, son of a baker and a seamstress, grew up with five siblings and his single mother since 1940 after his father was missing. He acquired the basics of his musical education in adult education and private lessons. In 1954 he began training as a deacon at the University of Applied Sciences for Religious Education in Moritzburg . From 1958 to 1962 he studied church music in Dresden . In 1961 he took over a position as cantor, deacon and full-time church musician in Olbernhau , before moving to St. Georgen Church in Schwarzenberg as cantor in 1966 . In 1983 he took over the post of church music director in the church district of Aue . Rademann retired at the end of 2001.

In the early 2000s, he worked as a consultant for church music in the Erzgebirge cultural area and head of the student orchestra of the music school of the Aue-Schwarzenberg district . He leads the church choir of the parish of Markersbach on a voluntary basis .

Rademann is married and has four children, including the choir conductor and university professor Hans-Christoph Rademann .
