Roman Koester

Roman Köster (born August 5, 1975 in Bielefeld ) is a German historian . He represents the vacant professorship for early modern times at the Faculty of Political and Social Sciences at the University of the Federal Armed Forces in Munich in Neubiberg .

Life

From 1995 to 2002 Köster studied history and German (secondary level I / II teaching) at the Ruhr University in Bochum , where he passed the first state examination in 2002. From October to November 2002 he worked on a contract basis for Rolls-Royce Germany in Oberursel . In Werner Crude he worked from February 2003 to February 2004 as a research assistant at the Department of Economic and Social History at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt , where he in November 2008 doctorate was. From September 2004 to March 2008 he was a research assistant at the Chair of Economic and Social History at the University of Frankfurt am Main . He then worked from April 2008 to September 2009 as a Research Associate at the Center for Business History in Scotland at the University of Glasgow . From October 2009 to March 2016 he was a research assistant at the Professorship for Economic, Social and Technical History at the University of the Federal Armed Forces in Munich, where he received his habilitation in 2015. He then worked as a research assistant at the History Department of the Albert Ludwig University in Freiburg . His research focuses on economic, environmental and technological history in the 19th and 20th centuries.
