Romario Williams (born August 15, 1994 in Portmore ) is a Jamaican football player who is used as a striker .

Career

Club career

Romario Williams is from Jamaica and studied in the United States at the University of Central Florida , where he played in the national soccer team. In total, he was used for the university 51 times, scoring 18 goals and preparing five more. Williams received various awards for his performance.

In the MLS SuperDraft , Williams was signed by the Canadian franchise Montreal Impact . Previously, he was active for the Orlando City U23 team . He played his first game for Montreal Impact on March 28, 2015 against Orlando City. SC. In order to give Williams the opportunity to gain more match practice, he also played for the farm team FC Montréal in the United Soccer League in the 2015 season . In the 2016 season he played on loan at Charleston Battery .

For the 2017 season, Williams moved to the new MLS franchise Atlanta United . He was not used in the MLS team, but played again at Charleston Battery, which served as the farm team of Atlanta United. During the 2018 season, Williams made 17 appearances for Atlanta United in the MLS, scoring one goal and becoming champions with the team. He also played for the new farm team Atlanta United 2 .

On July 1, 2019, Williams moved to the Columbus Crew . By the end of the 2019 season , he was used 7 times (one goal) in the MLS.

National team

Williams was nominated for the Jamaican U-17 selection and took part with her, among other things, at the U-17 World Cup in Mexico . He made his debut in the Jamaican national soccer team on November 13, 2016.
